Excellent quality piece of equipment, really well made. I use it when tent box camping and it helps keep my footprint small and everything off the ground. I broke a plastic widget due to my own clumsiness,made contact and 2 new ones were sent free of charge. Simply excellent customer service. I tested the Car Bar on my Jeep Cherokee XJ and I’m really satisfied. It looks nice, stays clean even if the ground is wet and dirty and is fully functional.

Tailgate must have!

Waited patiently for Rich to figure out shipping to the US so I couldn't wait to get my Car Bar. Totally worth the wait! Sleek, sturdy, stows away easily and sets up quick so you can easily create a tailgate event before and after, mtn. biking, skiing, concerts, hiking/camping, quick boat down the river. . . Great for bevs, snacks, tunes :)

Gucci bit of kit, does exactly as it should and as you’d expect

Easy set up, once you do it correctly and ensure the foot of it is seated correctly it’s plenty sturdy enough. Second time used is 100 times easier to put into place. Great for a coffee break on the rav4 m. High quality materials and machined components. I see absolutely no reason this won’t last a lifetime

Will it fit my car?

We haven't tested on every vehicle so many are still unknown. If yours is unknown, please send a picture of your boot latch to me at richard@nowherefastgear.com and I can double check before you order.

Will it fit vans?

Yep! The Car Bar is compatible with most vans. There are some exceptions so please check first.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated during checkout.

For international orders this varies. Also any customs charges that arise, you will be responsible for paying. Read more here.

How long is shipping?

It usually takes 3-5 working days for your table to arrive in the UK.

For international orders, generally between 7-10 working days.

Where are you based?

We are based in and ship from the UK.

Can I use a stove on it?

Yes you can use a stove on it. However, don't put hot pans directly on the table top just like your kitchen worktop, this can damage it.

I have multiple cars, could I use it on all?

Yes. If your cars are confirmed by the vehicle selector, you can switch between multiple. There are included adapters you may need to change between vehicles, but this is quick and easy.

Does it fold down flat?

Yes the leg folds flat to the table to a total height of 10cm so that it can easily be stored.

Does it come assembled?

Yes, but there will be setup required to get it to fit your vehicle correctly.

Nope! Everything you need is included.

The camping table with a difference

The Car Bar was born from being frustrated at the size and faff of typical camping gear. We wanted something that was small enough to leave in the car at all times for those impromptu trips, but practical enough to use for camping. It also needed to be so quick and easy to set up that we’d never put off using it.

How it began

The lightbulb went off when we realised we could use the boot to sit on, removing the need for annoying camping chairs. This meant for those quick trips we always had a table and chairs ready to go! We got to work prototyping and eventually had something we were using regularly.

"Where did you get that?"

We started getting people asking where we got it from when we were using it. Then after posting in a Facebook group the response was amazing with people asking to buy one. Suddenly we had the beginnings of a small business!

The latest version

Since then, we have sold tables all over the world and moved the business from a spare bedroom to a couple of shipping containers.

We still make, assemble, pack and ship all Car Bars from here in the UK.
